Non-Surgical
Facial Rejuvenation

Non-surgical facial rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment that can restore your youthful appearance without the invasive knife. Most people over the age of 40, even those in their 60’s and 70’s, will see an almost immediate and magical improvement. With careful placement of muscle relaxants, fillers and/or protein-rich plasma, patients will see a dramatic improvement to wrinkles, skin laxity, hyperpigmentation and scarring.

Men and women are choosing non-surgical skin tightening procedures because they are much quicker to perform, require much less time for recovery, and are far less expensive than surgical options.  Non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation look natural, are safe and the benefits can be seen almost immediately.

At the Anti-Aging and Wellness Clinic, you can choose just one or a combination of non-surgical techniques including:

Botox

The most popular procedure is Botox, a cosmetic for of botulinum toxin used to paralyze the facial muscles associated with wrinkles. Botox injections relax the muscles, temporarily reducing or eliminating fine lines, creases in the forehead and the wrinkles around the eyes or “crow’s feet”.

The results from Botox can be seen within three to seven days and usually last three to four months. For deeper wrinkles it may take several treatments to achieve the desired results. The injections are quick and easy for a properly trained physician. If the injection is performed by a physician that has not been adequately trained there is a risk of adverse events including; drooping eyelids, facial pain and muscle weakness.

Botox can also be used to relieve migraine headaches, reduce excessive sweating, and reduce muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

Dermal Fillers

Collagen helps give structure to our skin but as we age collagen in the skin decreases, causing wrinkles and a loss of facial volume, creating the illusion of sagging skin. In just a few minutes, soft tissue fillers can restore the volume, giving you a more youthful, natural appearance.

Dermal fillers are used to fill the lines and spaces that most commonly occur around the mouth, jaw line, and nose. When necessary, they can also be used around the eyes and around the temples. The results are almost immediate and last six to nine months. Like Botox, facial fillers should only be injected by a trained physician. Most people experience few side effects but some can experience allergic reactions.

Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), or micro-needling, is a minimally invasive procedure that rejuvenates the skin, improving skin texture and firmness, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scarring. The procedure stimulates the body’s natural collagen production that is lost as we age.

CIT uses tiny needles on a roller that is moved over the skin creating tiny, evenly-spaced, microscopic punctures in the skin. In response, the body increases in production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, making the skin healthier, firmer and more evenly textured. Unlike some laser and chemical peel procedures, this treatment is suitable for all skin types. CIT may also be combined with other non-surgical treatments including PRP.

Collagen Induction Therapy can be used on the face and body to improve:

  • Premature aging
  • Skin laxity
  • Wrinkles and lines
  • Scarring
  • Stretch marks

Platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP)

Professional athletes like golf professional Tiger Woods, tennis star Rafael Nadal and many, many professional baseball players have all received platelet-rich plasma therapy following injuries to speed up the healing time and avoid surgery.  Because PRP is a natural treatment and side effects are almost non-existent, men and women are choosing PRP therapy instead of surgery for facial rejuvenation. Platelet-rich plasma is a concentrated source of blood plasma that is derived from whole blood. It contains a concentration of up to 7 different growth factors and cytokines that can improve the appearance of wrinkles, scars, sun damage and dark circles under the eyes.

PRP therapy is a minimally invasive procedure involving injection of the patient’s own platelets into the face, hands and neck.  For even better results, PRP can be combined with collagen induction therapy. The results of PRP can last up to 18 months.
