FAQ

Your body produces hormones, or chemical messengers that travels through your bloodstream to your tissues and organs, that regulate your heart rate, metabolism, sexual function, mood, appetite, energy, growth, sleep and more. As we age our bodies are no longer able to produce sufficient quantities of hormones and bio-identical hormone replacement uses compounded hormones to replenish the most important hormones to levels that are normal for healthy, young adults. Bio-identical hormone replacement can alleviate the signs and symptoms of aging due to depleted levels of hormones and leave you feeling younger and more vibrant.

Unlike synthetic hormones, bio-identical hormones match the natural hormones your body produces allowing them to be easily metabolized without negative side effects. Synthetic hormones do not have the same molecular structure of your body’s own hormones and it may be this slight difference that causes the negative side effects some patients experience when taking traditional hormone replacement therapy. Additionally, synthetic hormones are only available in fixed doses and do not allow for personalized treatment plans. Following your initial consultation and lab work, we will customize a hormone treatment plan for you and our expert pharmacy will compound the necessary hormones based on your individual needs.

As part of a customized treatment plan developed by knowledgeable medical professionals, bio-identical hormone therapy including testosterone and human growth hormone treatments are safe and effective.  In clinical trials, testosterone and human growth hormone therapies have been shown to strengthen the immune system, reduce the risk of age-related diseases and improve quality of life. The health and safety of our patients is our primary concern. No treatment is initiated unless our physicians have conducted an initial consult that includes full laboratory testing and medical history.

Human growth hormone is legal in most countries but is regulated, requiring a prescription from a physician. Achieving an optimal and balanced level of hormones is important to feeling your best and all bio-identical hormone therapy should be monitored by a qualified medical professional.

Your initial consult will take a minimum of 60 minutes. It requires a comprehensive medical history, physical exam and laboratory testing.

Every patient is different and some individuals respond to treatment more rapidly than others. Some patients will feel better in the first month while others may not notice a difference for several months. Some symptoms such as brain fog will improve quickly. On average, most patients feel much better in 3-6 months.

  • What time of day that is best for injecting growth hormone depends on your age and your current growth hormone levels. If your levels are very low, or if you are over the age of 50, it may be best to inject the growth hormone at night. If you are under 50, injecting the growth hormone at night may disrupt your sleep pattern. For individuals who are under 50 or do not have extremely low levels of growth hormone, morning may be best.
  • The general recommendation for adults is to place the needle 1-2 inches to the left or right of the belly button.
  • Pinch the skin softly to create approximately an inch of belly fat and inject.
  • Never reuse the needles. Needles are prone to contamination and reusing a needle puts you at risk of infection.

Oral supplements that are advertised as growth hormone supplements are not equivalent to HGH injections. Oral supplements are not controlled and frequently the ingredients are unknown and the products contain many fillers and extra ingredients. Also, oral supplements do not provide actual bioidentical growth hormone but instead contain ingredients meant to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce more growth hormone. Finally, orally ingested human growth hormone does not work; when they reach the Stomach they are metabolized immediately and almost never reach the blood stream where they need to go in order to stimulate the pituitary gland.

No. For your health and safety, you must visit one of our four clinics in Central America. Before any treatment can be recommended you must be seen by one of our physicians who will conduct a physical, collect a thorough medical history and collect a blood sample for a complete blood panel. Our team of experts are certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and follow the guidelines and protocols developed by the academy.  If you are traveling from the United States and would like to complete the blood work prior to your arrival please click on the following link: USA Blood Test.

The best time to start bio-identical hormone replacement therapy is when your hormone levels start to decline. For both men and women this can begin between that age of 30 and 40, usually around age 35. If you feel great, we recommend you have your hormone levels check before the age of 35 so that you have a baseline for comparison. Hormone levels decline slowly and the symptoms usually sneak up on you. You should have your hormone levels checked at age 35 and every 1-2 years after that.
